NWOT! Vtg 50s DINNER JACKET, SMOKING JACKET, SHARK-SKIN, DBL VENT, Sz M-L

Description

GREAT vintage 1950s-1960s men's smoking jacket-tux-dinner jacket.
Never worn - the flap pockets were still sewn shut but I opened them in hopes of finding a material content tag - but there is no such tag.
Upper left pocket and 2 lower flap pockets
1 button on front.
Double vent lower back.
Full lining inside, and lined also along the insides of the sleeves to the cuffs.
The color is shiny grey-ish blue "shark skin".
Material content is not indicated. I believe it's silk, rayon, or a gabardine and is termed as "shark skin". It has a sheen and texture (see last closeup picture of fabric.)
This type are fabric has surface"runs" and texture - see last pic.
Made in USA.The Amalgamated Union tag definitively dates this jacket to 1949-1962.
The other inner pocket tag has "52" written next to "Date" and I believe that's the accurate date: 1952. See closeup pics.
There is no tag size. The chest and waist each measure 44" however the shoulder to shoulder measurement is 18" - so we've listed as a M-L. These type jackets are meant to be worn large with "swing."
