You are looking at a fantastic addition to your American Flyer collection.
Here is an American Flyer Gilbert Original New Haven EP5 electric locomotive # 499. This was only made by American Flyer for 2 years, 1956 and 1957. Don't let it get away!

​CONDITION:
C6. Serviced and running, reversing. Good printing (except one N has a small part rubbed). Good decals. Pantographs present and can be manually operated.
Overall, a nice looking and complete unit, but let's be critical: Pantographs do show some oxidation and a few light rust spots at the bases. There is some handling wear to the white, which I will leave to you to potentially clean. There are some rubs in the white and orange on both sides here and there. On one side there is a scratch diagonal back from the E downwards.  There is some kind of translucent drip on one side, one down from each pantograph--perhaps from lubrication or glue used on the pantographs? One cosmetic horn unit appears to have shortened horns. Pictures show it all and are a part of the description
